• Identify and promote improved seed management practices under tropical environments

• Develop small scale mechanization for smallholder farmers to improve grain quality, and reduce post-harvest losses and harvest labor demands

• Evaluate the local parameters affecting threshing techniques, seed storage, and seed quality

• Develop a new, low-processing soybean variety for household utilization

• Solve adaption questions for better introgression of yield/stress traits into Sub-Saharan Africa varieties

• Provide technology to make soybean farming a successful business in Sub-Saharan Africa

• Provide growers access to quality seed, viable inoculum, appropriate fertilizer, and pictorial extension guidance in the form of a “soybean success kit”
