MRA 9 Environmental Impacts

Principal Investigator:

Dr. Jeremy Guest

Dr. Jeremy Guest earned his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Guest’s research focuses on sustainable infrastructure, increasing access to sanitation and the development of technologies and service delivery models that manage sanitation media as a renewable resource. Dr. Guest leads the SIL environmental research efforts, characterizing the environmental impacts of smallholder soybean production across spatial and temporal scales. Dr. Guest’s research team analyzes nutrient runoff, pesticide use, soil health and direct gaseous emissions to elucidate the environmental trade-offs of smallholder soybean production.
